In our second blitz interview, we would like to introduce you Natalia Aleksandrova. As you may already note from our speaker’s section, Natalia is a Business Developer for energy utilities at MClimate (a manufacturer of smart home devices and solutions). She studied macroeconomics, marketing, and journalism. All her professional career is connected with the development of utility companies. She has management experience in electricity grid company where she was responsible for resolving customers’ complaints and effective internal communication.
Who are you?
I am not an energy engineer. I am not an energy scientist. I am just an enthusiast about future energy innovations. As an economist and marketing expert, I can foresee the scale of change in people’s lives that energy innovations will bring.
Why did you decide to join the speaker’s list of LibertyBits conference?
To share interesting experience from MClimate.
What is your understanding of “liberty” (freedom) and what are the most underestimated threats to our modern society?
I believe that “freedom” today means freedom of choice and access to vital resources like energy, water or internet. Today people are too focused on their personal well being and forget about limited natural resources. This is a threat to sustainability but new energy technologies would solve such issue.
What is the fascinating (the most inspiring) thing about living off-the-grid for you?
Living off-the-grid today is a new way of interaction between people and monopolies.
What aspects/risks should a person take into consideration to be able to live off-the-grid?
The investment to live off-the-grid is still too high compared to regular energy prices in Bulgaria.
What are your expectations for the conference?
To meet interesting people with interesting views.
Thank you very much, Natalia! We just can’t wait to hear your interesting story!
