Speaker’s Showcase: 6 Q&A with Radoslav Penchev

Radoslav Penchev – Product Owner at Propy

Next in the spotlight is another speaker from our Blockchain section: Radoslav Penchev. He is a blockchain advocate and Product Owner at Propy responsible for the product vision, direction, and development. His goal is to demystify blockchain technology for the public by finding the golden mean between consumer needs and good technical solutions. Here he is in brief with his answers to our 6 questions.

Who are you?

I am Propy’s product owner and my goal is to drive the product development forward.

Why did you decide to join the speaker’s list of LibertyBits conference?

Because I see it as a great opportunity to further the community’s understanding of and believe in the potential of blockchain technology.

What is your understanding of “liberty” (freedom) and what are the most underestimated threats to our modern society?

For “liberty” is a highly subjective matter but I do believe that we can all agree that it always results in the “free” state of mind. The most underestimated threat to our society is the monopolization of information by a handful of companies.

What is the fascinating (the most inspiring) thing about blockchain for you?

That blockchain can be the cause of the next economic revolution by eliminating trust brokers, middlemen and the need for expensive tech infrastructure.

What could be the biggest benefit from the blockchain technology for us as a society?

The essence of blockchain technology guarantees the independent verification of information. This has the potential to lead to a world in which we can trust information with less doubt by developing global or regional consensus systems.

What are your expectations for the conference?

Learn about new and exciting things, connect with people and share ideas.

Thank you very much, Radoslav! It was a pleasure talking to you. We look forward to welcoming you on stage on 24th April 2018 at LibertyBits.

Take the chance and reserve your seat A.S.A.P. for the second edition of LibertyBits Conference here:
